Ep.5/ Crazy how quickly life gets good.

 

Have you ever experienced this? Life quickly jumping from ick to hell yeah?! Recently I’ve heard a lot of people talking about this. Let’s take a dip in these waters.

I mean it sounds so magical to quickly jump into a good / better / best life, right?!

I’ve heard this referred to as a quantum leap or a timeline jump, but I’m sure there are several more terms for this. I’ve often called it the tipping point, but hey, that maybe doesn’t sound as remarkable? Either way, I believe them to all be the same thing. That exhilarating moment when you feel your life take a major shift.

I’ve personally experienced this on several occasions, and I loooove talking about it! Firstly because they’re fun, happy ending stories - the kind you can tell to new friends and get those jaw dropping moments of “no way!”. But mostly I like to talk about them because I’m bloody proud. I’m proud because I know it’s not magic. I know that my energy and focus and undying belief in myself is EXACTLY how it happened.

One of my favourite books (it’s more like a booklet) is called You Squared by Price Pritchett Ph.D. The concepts in this book are complex, yet simple. I remember the first time I read this and the impact it had on my life - particularly this quote:

If you must doubt something, doubt your limits.

Crazy how quickly life gets good.

 

To believe so fully in yourself and what you are looking to achieve, that when any doubt creeps in, it’s only doubting the limits you set on yourself. Like, wow.

Here’s the thing… most of us can’t get here because we dream up something that we are unable to truly believe is possible for us.

Let me be clear. It’s not that it isn’t possible. It’s that you don’t believe it is possible.

And most likely the reason is that it is something that just isn’t within your realm at this point. But don’t worry, it’s simple to get yourself there…using two of my favourite things - consistency and small actions.

Most people confuse wishing and wanting with pursuing.

The fact is that if you just sit around wanting things and wishing you had them, it’s not going to bring you closer to them! You can’t wish them into reality.

You need to pursue the things you want. You need to actively move towards them. Every damn day.

When you start taking small actions and setting things into motion, the universe will respond. It will open you to opportunities you never believed possible. It will set people into your path that will help you along the way. It wants you to win and it will provide you with what you need to make that happen. It will help you shorten the distance between where you are and where you are aiming to be.

Don’t get stuck on how things will happen. Just focus on moving towards them and let it all unfold as it will.


So where does the quantum leap, timeline jump, tipping point happen?

If you just continue moving forward, it inevitably occurs — and usually when and how you least expect it. There is usually a moment of discomfort, where you find yourself doing something that ‘old you’ might have thought risky, but it will feel like exactly what you need and want to do. And voila!

And when you get there?

Well, then it’s time to upgrade that vision of what you want and continue pursuing. Because life is meant to be lived. To be experienced. To be loved. To excite you.

Choose the life you want. Move towards it. Enjoy the journey and unfolding.
